Handy Leveling Tips for 1-30

13 posts in this topic

Greetings Crusaders,

Getting experience in Crusaders of Light is fairly straightforward. Simply complete quests to progress. Killing things like boars or crabs (grinding) will NOT gain you XP and help you level. As long as you play the game and utilize the Quest Guide (click on the quest text at the top left hand side of your screen), you will advance through the game and story.

That being said, there are a few tips that can help make your leveling trip the smoothest it can possibly be.

Levels 1-12
Levels 1-12 are pretty easy. Complete the tutorial, and follow up with early quests along the crab beach and other related locations. Remember,  the Quest Guide feature can keep you on track, so use it to your advantage! Simply click the quest text at the upper right hand side of your game screen and watch your character path to the next objective.

Level 13
Right as you reach level 13, you may realize the only quest you have left in the main quest chain is to complete your first dungeon. Dungeons can be rough at lower levels, especially if you are only going through them with a couple of other people and don’t have a great healer in your party, but don’t despair! Daily and Reputation quests are your answer! Complete any Daily or Reputation Quest available to you and you’ll progress to level 13. Then, you’ll have brand new quests to  tackle.

Level 14-28
Again, the main story quests are your friend. Keep at it, and do any optional quests that become available. The experience will flow like water, and you should see steady progress. Enjoy your new skills, maybe try a different build or two, and don’t forget you have daily quests available if further progress on the main quest chain requires you to tackle a new dungeon.

Speaking of Dungeons, you’ll definitely want to consider doing the dungeon quests you have available a few levels after they unlock to get the awesome gear rewards. And maybe a few more times after that. Be patient with newer players, and help them reach your level!

Levels 29-30
Here’s where the flow of experience from the main quest chain starts to slow down, becoming a peaceful brook instead of a mighty roaring river. Daily and Reputation Quests will become more and more important, don’t miss out on the Guild quests available. If you don’t see a guild you want to join, start one yourself! Trial tasks are the most important daily

Hi all!

Yesterday I started this game as well, I lvled up till lvl 24. Then i ran out of quests. The next quest can be done at lvl 27. So i did a couple of raids, events and reputation tasks. After I didnt got any exp, because I did too many raids. Today I logged in, and assummed the server was reseted so i can start farming rades again. But it wasnt reseted. So now im kinda stuck.

So how can I lvl up?

And when the daily activity resets?

tnx!

you can do it with all daily quests. If you are done with all these quest ( daily ). it's mean you did all right well. you should wait for another day

Thanks for the guide! Interesting approach to leveling though - grinding gives no XP... I personally don't like grinding for XP because it breaks the flow of the game and it's always tedious. Oh, boy, can't wait to taste this sweet candy! 9_9

You still grind for xp in a sense. You grind mobs, up to 3k a day or up to 21k at once if you let it roll over when grinding mobs for reputation.

That's where those auto-modes come in handy, I suppose.

i do find that i run out of things to do though once i've done all my quests, dailies etc. i dont mind a bit of xp grinding in other games. so kinda miss it in this one. it does seem that new players will struggle to catch up with older players due to these limitations. i may be wrong tho

Maybe they will substitute the XP grind with something else in future updates...

Do you grind all your stamina by collecting? I find that I'm spending alot of my time just collecting resources once I've finished all the dailies, even after I've done all that and I'm still wanting to play having an alt to level up kills that boredom.

I also wouldn't worry too much about not being able to catch up, the majority of the game wont start until people reach max level trying to max their equipment.

Same as Jesse and others above, there isn't that many way to get exp so far... once you've done all the dailies, the only source of exp left is the main quest for me.

I am auto-killing mobs for reputation but, unfortunately, it does not give any exp whatsoever, just reputation (I'll get the Cudina crocodile killer title soon... and if it doesn't exist, I'll create it!).

I guess I could farm the trial quest up to 80 as well to farm those talent exp too - auto-mode as well easy enough to just launch it & go back to the game every 10th trial quest to start the new cycle.

Issue is with leveling up the life skill... I haven't found any way to do this automatically and it takes forever to manually look around for collecting spots!!! How do you guys do it? Any tips & tricks?
