  1. Thank you Raowr ! In this case, I really don´t need to do pvp. I thought i can use the Frosty heart for the divine equipment purchased with the flowers My current guild is pretty antisocial and non of my friends play this game. In a normal random guild the frost hearts are arroun 3-4k depending on the group. In best cases 2k. But there is always at least one guy who bid against you. Best regards Cryptus
  2. It is not only the current player base ... I started like 4 weeks ago, so pretty new to the game. So far my experience, it is not friendly to new player, the advantage and the pure arogance of old players against new players is disencuraging. You don´t have any chance to catch up to old players like for ever ... and they didn´t want to play with people who are below path lvl 60 and min 40-45k gear score.
  3. Yea, know your pain ... I´ve started athread about the same topic a while ago. Search for "No Path XP Bonus" Even while RedPandar replied, it seems he doesn´t really see a problem at all ... It is likely that the XP bonus return with max lvl of 55, so we should use all of our XP to get the character lvl to 55. After that we can catch up with the path again. I know not really satisfying. And it is true, the game is not really "new player friendly" not the player base or the game system. That is something the developers should focus or the player base will decrease.   4. @Koux Thanks for your reply I know the Aldorr coloseum shop only sells Frosty hearts. But for a new player divine equipment is the way to go. You get them through the "Flower of Torranis" which you get in the heroic raids. So you get equipment through PvE, but only get the cheap upgrade items with PvP ... I know I could use normal Frost hearths, but to upgrade 4 divine items just for the first 3 stages, I would need 20 frost hearths wich is currently equal to 60-80k gold, which is quite alot for me. I have already all the aldorr medals to buys 20 frosty hearths, but didn´t get to silver II to spend them :-( I hope this makes my dilemma clear Best regards Cryptus
  5. Hello all, I resently started to play CoL and loved it so far ... But I hate the arena ... and PvP in general, not just in this game ... no in all games. So why bothering about PvP in CoL you ask? ... well the huuuuuuge benefit for new player with super cheap frost hearths ... so getting to Silver II seems like such a big advantage. But after so many matches with random, it seems like I win / loose 50:50, well it is just a gambling with the same random players over and over ... and the rank system is preeeeeetty brutal in this game. Any suggestions how to win like 4-5 games in a row to finally get to Silver II? Best regards Cryptus

  8. @Hooligan The point of this topic was not if it es fair or not to have an XP bonus for new players. The Developers have already decided, that they whant a system like that. I only want to adress, that there is a big difference betwen pre / post patch. Because why was this system OK over the past months, and now it is not. Think about that ... yes, old players needed to play a way longer to get max character lvl / path lvl, but over the time, they reduced the time of the lvl grind more and more ... But to suddenly increase the time for the grind, seems odd and unintendet. If I would have started 2 weeks earlier I would have been path lvl 55-60 Now it took me the same proces month of playing.   9. @Agoraphobia Thank you! I think I´m just frustrated because I discovered this game to late. It is a really good game over all and not to much P2W But as a F2P Player, it is really hard to be compentive, because I lack more than 6 Month behind... And the Issue with the Buff is just another brick in my path.
  10. Ok, I now understand the buff better, but it still doesn´t change my point here. I make a simple example with made up numbers. Pre Patch: I received 100k character xp and 30k path xp per day (without bonus) With the bonus of 300% XP on charcter xp (because I´m lower with my path lvl than the server lvl is) I received 300k character xp and 30k path xp. Because we can´t lvl up charcter lvl, we use everything for path lvl In summary 330k After the patch: I still received 100k character xp and 30k path xp, but don´t get any bonus So even if I still want to just lvl up my path lvl to catch up ... The summary is just 130k That´s the problem! Ignore all the calculation ... It is fact, that pre patch, it was easier for Player with low Path lvl to increase their lvl than after the patch. I understand, that it would be unfair, if we get 300% buff on character xp, because player with high path lvl don´t get the buff and it would affect the character lvl race. Then ... why change the buff system, to just affect the path XP, so player with low path lvl can still catch up?
  11. Yea, I totally agree with you! I have written an Topic about the same Issue aleady ("No Path XP Bonus") But RedPandas answer was not helping at all ... For me, this is a real game changer. I started really late into this game and loved it, especially due to the low P2W part and the catch up system with the XP buff. Now they removed it without a reason and new player like us have a hard time ... Greetings Cryptus
  12. Nice to see other Players understand my problem. What I didn´t understand is, why was it OK for the developers pre Patch, that the new players can catch up with ther Path lvl (with 300% Buff on Path XP), but after the patch they removed it? The Bonus on the Path XP wouldn´t affect the character XP and the "race" to lvl 55 at all. That´s why it seems like a Bug.
  13. Thank you Redpanda for your quick answer, but your explanation in the topic you have linked, doesn´t explain anything about the change with the new lvl cap. Yesterday I had 300% buff on talent XP with Path lvl 49. After the patch I have 0%! The server Path lvl was 63 befor the Buff was removed. The initial idea was, that player as me, can catch up to players with Path lvl 63+ But after the increase of the lvl cap to 55 and the removement of the XP Buff, I can lvl as everyone else the normal character lvl, but my path lvl will lack in comparison to older players Best regards Cryptus
  14. Hello all, I'm pretty new to CoL. Just starter a couple weeks ago. Since then, I tried pretty hard to catch up. I loved the "server lvl" XP bonus system, because it give player like me a chance to catch up. I just hitted lvl 45 and Path lvl 49 before the update was released. But since then, the 300% Path XP Bonus is gone. I don't know if this is intendet, but it's really unfair against new players. We now get the same XP as all, even if we are 10 Path lvl lower than the old Players and can't catch up anymore. Why is the XP Bonus gone? Any explanation? Best regards Cryptus
